Benidorm builds a provisional roundabout at the intersection of Severo Ochoa and Camí dels Torrers to improve road traffic

Benidorm City Council has put into service today a new provisional roundabout at the intersection of Severo Ochoa Avenue and Camí dels Torrers, as reported by the Councilor for Mobility, Francis Muñoz. This roundabout, which has the corresponding horizontal and vertical signage, is operational and its purpose is to improve road traffic in this area, which in recent months has been affected by works.

Specifically, this roundabout was already contemplated as an improvement action for the start-up works of the municipality's second wastewater delivery line to the Sierra Helada treatment plant. For now, the action will be provisional in the absence of occupation of the adjacent lands.

The Mobility Councilor has also indicated that with the completion of the work in recent months, Nápoles Street also resumed its usual direction of traffic, in an upward direction.

Traffic in Beniardà Avenue returns to normal

On the other hand, the Department itself has also reported the return to normal traffic on Beniardá Avenue, with the occupation of all traffic lanes, once the works in this area have finished.

It is worth remembering that this road, one of the main entrances and exits to the city, has undergone improvement work in recent months and that during Christmas time, it was recommended to use alternative itineraries to access Benidorm due to the reduction in the number of lanes. With the work completed, road traffic returns to normal.
