Benidorm begins with the reading of El Quijote the celebration of the International Book Day
The Councilor for Culture, Ana Pellicer, has started this morning to read El Quijote in the Municipal Library, one of the activities that on the occasion of the celebration in Benidorm of the International Book Day has been organized by City Council.
Pellicer has resumed reading in chapter 45 of the work of Miguel de Cervantes and after it have continued to recite other members of the municipal corporation, the Association of Fraternity and Experience, Afratex and individuals. With only a few minutes left by noon, the mayor, Toni Pérez, joined the company after his return from Barcelona where last night he collected, on behalf of the city, the Alimara prize for the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in Tourism promotion.
The celebration of Book Day will continue today at 8:00 pm in the Town Hall Hall with the performance of the work 'The Shakesperiencie', by the Cultural Association of University Theater of Alicante (ACTUA) that reviews in just 10 minutes The main works of William Shakespeare. The entrance is free although limited to the capacity of the place.
Next week Benidorm will continue to commemorate International Book Day with the presentation on Monday, April 24, at 7:00 pm of 'Vampires, werewolves and some zombie' by Manuel Tomás Llinares at the Municipal Library. On Tuesday 25, at 20:30, it will be the time for the dramatized reading of "El Quijote en verso" by José Veliz, by the groups Catarsis, Tossal, ACB and Tramontana. On Thursday 27 will take place the conference of Esperanza Rodríguez 'See and read: learning the look', in the Municipal Library. Finally, on Friday 28, conclude the celebrations with the narrative of 'Tales of everyday life' by Enma López, also in the Library.
