Masks will be distributed on Thursday and Friday, depending on the age range, at the six points provided by the City Council
Benidorm begins a new phase of mask delivery, for the population born between 1979 and 1993
After delivering masks to the school and youth population of the city, Benidorm City Council begins this Thursday, June 4, a new phase of supply of protection material, in this case aimed at those registered as born between 1979 and 1993, has informed today the mayor, Toni Pérez.
The mayor recalled that "this initiative was born to serve schoolchildren in the city, but progressively we have decided to reach as many citizens as possible, especially once the Government of Spain has made it mandatory to use this system of protection in some activities and places ”. Specifically, the use of this protection system is mandatory for people 6 years of age and older in any closed space for public use or that is open to the public, in which it is not possible to maintain an interpersonal safety distance of at least two meters ”.
This new distribution of masks is going to be divided into two days depending on the age range. Thus, those born between 1986 and 1993 will be able to pick up their mask tomorrow Thursday at the point set up by the City Council closest to their home: La Casa del Fester, 'José Llorca Linares' social center, 'La Torreta' social center, and CEIPs: El Murtal, Ausiàs March and Els Tolls. The pick-up time will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On Friday, the 5th, it will be the turn of those born between 1979 and 1985. The mask collection operation will be the same as on the previous day.
Since this initiative began, the City Council has already distributed more than 3,000 masks.
As in previous phases, the collection points will be attended by municipal staff and Volunteers from the Collective Aid Network (#RAC).
