Organized by Anémona Association and with the collaboration of the Sports Department and Nautical Club, this morning the first Banco Fijo Trophy of Anémona (Self-Help Group for Women with Breast and Gynecological Cancer) was held in Benidorm Bay, in the one that six teams have competed. Fifty athletes have competed for the trophy on a sunny morning with calm waters.
This modality of rowing owes its name to the fact that the rowers sit facing the stern, with their back to the direction of movement, on a fixed seat. Propulsion is done with the torso and arms. This modality is one of the activities that Anémone promotes to improve the health of people who suffer the disease with very good therapeutic results.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, along with other members of the municipal corporation, have accompanied the rowers and the group of members of Anémona Association in the awards ceremony that took place after noon .
