Benidorm approves the payment of the first remittance of consumption vouchers worth 748,130 euros

26 December 2023
Benidorm

'#BenidormTeDaMás' campaign has accumulated more than 32,409 purchases for an amount that exceeds 2,581,910 euros

In the next few hours, Benidorm City Council will pay the first remittance of vouchers exchanged in the city's establishments within the municipal campaign #BenidormTeDaMás for a total value that amounts to 748,130 euros. This was approved this Tuesday by the Local Government Board (JGL), which has put forward a payment proposal that also includes the list of all the beneficiary establishments of this first remittance and the amounts that will correspond to each of them.

The mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, explained that “this first batch has included the bonds exchanged throughout the first week of the campaign.” Specifically, between Friday, the 15th, and Thursday, December 21, the users employed in one of the 544 companies in Benidorm adhered to '#BenidormTeDaMás'. In this sense, the mayor has stated that "this government team intends that the participating establishments receive from the City Council as soon as possible the amount of the discounts applied through the exchange of the vouchers, hence, as in previous editions, "has decided to resolve remittances so that the amount reaches the establishments quickly, instead of waiting for the campaign to end to proceed with the payment of all the bonuses." "In this way," he stressed, "with '#BenidormTeDaMás' we not only encourage consumption in the city's establishments, but we also ensure that they quickly obtain the corresponding economic injection."

The figures presented by the first mayor suggest that, as of eight in the morning today, the number of Benidorm residents who have downloaded their vouchers now amounts to 43,076 registered, with a total of 215,380 downloads. Of these, the number of discounts exchanged reaches 111,487 bonds, with an economic impact on the business fabric of 2,581,910.53 euros in 32,409 purchase transactions, figures that the councillor has stated that “as the day progresses, without a doubt, they will have increased again.”

The data also indicates that the 43,076 users who have downloaded their vouchers represent 65% of the total number of registered citizens over 18 years of age who can be beneficiaries of this campaign, which in this edition amounts to 65,478 people. In addition, 1,798 consumer vouchers have been generated at the public service points incorporated by the City Council to facilitate access to these discounts for citizens without means or technological knowledge: 1,188 in the City Hall assembly hall and another 610 in the extensions municipal administrative

The mayor has once again "encouraged" those registered over 18 years of age who have not yet done so to "download their bonuses" from the website or the 'BuyBono' application - available on the Play Store and Apple Store platforms - and to spend them before December 31, the last day of the campaign, “because in this way we are creating a circular economy and contributing to the maintenance of the local productive fabric.”

As has already been said, the procedure to obtain the bonuses is very simple from any mobile device. First of all, the user must enter the website www.bonobenidormtedamas.es and from there go to the Consumer Area. Once there you will have to register again even if you have been a user in previous campaigns, for which it will be necessary to provide your DNI or NIE, a password, email, name, telephone number and date of birth.

The beneficiary must be registered in Benidorm on December 1, 20223 and be of legal age on December 31. The data will be collated by the system and, if everything is correct, the platform will proceed to registration.
Once registered on the website, users can request their vouchers from there or download them in PDF format and print them if they wish. From the BuyBono mobile application, bonuses can also be requested once users have registered on the website. To do this, they must install it on their mobile device and access their Private Area from the Consumers section, for which they must enter the ID and password with which they registered on the website.

When this step has been completed, they will be able to download the consumer vouchers, for which the application will create the QR code, so that during the campaign the beneficiary can consult the vouchers that have been exchanged and the place where they did so.

Furthermore, from the 'app' itself, users will be able to enter their profile and view the list of participating establishments in which they can redeem the vouchers. A function that is also available on the web.

Each user may request up to five vouchers of ten euros each. All vouchers will be nominative through a QR code that is associated with the DNI or NIE of each person registered in Benidorm and can be used as a discount on purchases equal to or greater than 20 euros in the establishments participating in the campaign without being able to exceed the payment of 50 % of the total purchase. That is, for a purchase of 20 euros you can use a consumption voucher of 10 euros, up to a maximum of 100 euros purchase and 50 euros discount.
