Benidorm announces 6 scholarships for university studies on rice and Haute Mediterranean cuisine
The Official Gazette of the Province has just published the bases of the six scholarships to be awarded by Benidorm City Council to carry out university studies on rice and Mediterranean haute cuisine at the University of Alicante. The call is framed in a collaboration agreement in educational matter signed between the City Council and the University so that the realization of own studies with the qualification of Expert in History, Globalization and Tourism around rice and Alta Mediterranean Cuisine; Specialist in Culinary Science and Technology, Marriage, Rice and High Mediterranean Cuisine; and Master in Rice and Applied Mediterranean High Cuisine. All of them are organized by the Center for Continuing Education at the University of Alicante and will be taught during the academic year 2018/2019.
The scholarships will cover part of the amount of the public tuition fees and will be distributed as follows: two scholarships of € 500 each for the registration in Expert in History, Globalization and Tourism about rice and Haute Mediterraean cuisine; two scholarships of € 1,500 each for the studies of Specialist in Culinary Science and Technology, Marriage, Rice and High Mediterranean Cuisine, and two scholarships of € 2,000 each, for the Master in Rice and Applied Mediterranean High Cuisine of the University of Alicante
According to the published bases, the application for registration must be submitted to the Town Hall of Benidorm, and must meet the following requirements: be registered in Benidorm at least one year after the publication of the call; have a minimum of 2 years of accredited work experience in the field of catering, catering and / or gastronomy; not be enjoying another scholarship or aid of the same category or analogous purpose aimed at obtaining the same degree, and not being in any of the circumstances that prevent obtaining the condition of beneficiaries indicated in article 13.2 of the General Law of Grants, in particular, to be up-to-date in compliance with tax and Social Security obligations. Applications must be submitted in writing using the standard application form, within 15 calendar days from last Friday, day 17.
