The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has received the key of the city of Miami from Ana Cristina Carroguas, wife of Tomás Pedro Regalado, mayor of the North American city, visiting Spain in front of a delegation of the most populated city of the state of Florida that has wanted to strengthen ties and to know at first hand the tourist model of Benidorm.
Together with the members of the American delegation, the delegation that attended the Mayor's Office in Benidorm was headed by the president of the Cuenca Provincial Government, Benjamín Prieto, accompanied by the hotel entrepreneur, José María Caballé, the notary Antonio Magraner, and the former Mayor of Manizales and former Minister of Transportation of Colombia, Eduardo Rojas Giraldo.
The Colombian city is twinned with Benidorm and Miami. The mayor, Toni Pérez, interviewed by the North American chain 'AmericaTeve.Canal41' of Miami, thanked the distinction that he received in the name of Benidorm and expressed the desire to continue reinforcing the cultural values and ties that both cities share.
