Benidorm and its offer protagonists of the professional activity day for tour operators "Discover Benidorm"
Visit Benidorm Foundation, together with Turobserver company, has organized an International Virtual Workshop under the name "Discover Benidorm", which will take place on November 3 and 4.
At this moment, Visit Benidorm's priority is the recovery of the destination and the promotion of its commercialization. Hence the commitment to this innovative workshop or professional activity day that has been designed with the intention of presenting the destination and promoting virtual meetings between participating international tour operators and local tourism companies.
Visit Benidorm will take advantage of the online presence of the tour operators to carry out a total of five presentations, in which topics such as Benidorm's strategy as a smart tourist destination, the city's tourist offer for families, for the winter season and for the rest of the year. It will also be used to show some of the main virtues of the rest of the Costa Blanca and the Valencian Community.
For this edition, the presence of the Costa Blanca Tourism Board and the Valencian Community Tourism Board is also expected and the assistance of several European tour operators is expected, which up to fifty local companies in Benidorm must seduce by showing their product and trying to close agreements.
Reacting to adversity
As in many other national tourist destinations, Benidorm is a city with a high dependence on foreign tourism, which due to the difficult health context that we live in worldwide has left the sector in a delicate situation facing a low season with little demand.
Despite the complex situation that the capital of the Costa Blanca is experiencing, it is of vital importance to continue working on proximity actions to attract the national public and at the same time continue to strengthen ties with international tour operators. Knowing first-hand all the tourist possibilities that Benidorm can offer its tourists from the moment activity is resumed is the objective of VisitBenidorm Foundation.
Parallel to this type of promotional actions, we continue working at full speed with the intention of recovering as soon as possible the arrival of international tourists and especially British clients. For this reason, Benidorm works closely with the Costa Blanca Board of Trustees, Valencian Community Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism, and last Thursday the City Council together with the Hosbec hotel association and Visit Benidorm met the Secretary of State for Tourism, Fernando Valdés Verelst with the aim is to present “Benidorm Island” project, with which it is intended to achieve a safe corridor for the city.
However, and until this desired opening of borders or at least a health corridor arrives, Benidorm continues working on the development of new products in order to attract local customers. Hence the campaign 'Living in Benidorm; work from paradise ', the objective of this strategy is to attract “digital nomads” who use new technologies to work remotely, which implies that they can do so in a place other than their usual residence. And continue with publicity actions in the local national environment under the umbrella of “Tailor-made vacations”.
