Benidorm allocates 56,000 euros to aid to promote employment in the city's business associations
The Local Government Board of Benidorm City Council has approved a new call for aid launched annually by the Department of Employment and Local Promotion to collaborate with the labour and operating expenses of business and entrepreneurial entities in Benidorm. A call for which the City Council will allocate 56,000 euros, as announced by the councillor of the department, Mónica Gómez, who indicated that the requesting entities will be eligible for a maximum aid of 8,000 euros to be used for hiring personnel.
Through this call “we want to help business entities maintain their staff, mainly administrative staff, and thus be able to continue providing support services to companies that carry out their activity in Benidorm or to those who are embarking on the creation of a new company. ", highlighted the councillor.
As established in the rules of the call, non-profit business associations in Benidorm that have a business open to the public with opening hours and that carry out support activities will be eligible for these aids to entrepreneurs and companies in the city. Likewise, Mónica Gómez has explained that the amount of the aid received by each entity will be used to cover the expenses of the association's personnel hired to carry out the management and administration functions in the applicant association, carried out in the period between November 1, 2023, and October 31, 2024, as established by the rules.
As in previous years, the submission of applications must be processed electronically, through the Electronic Office (https://sede.benidorm.org), the deadline for which will begin the day after the bases are published in the BOP and until October 31, 2024.
Gómez has pointed out that “we have always considered that employment is the best social policy that can be promoted and executed.” For this reason, "within the lines of action of the Employment and Local Development Agency is the promotion of employment and support, either with direct actions or through calls for aid such as these, with which we support business associations whose “Associates, in turn, generate employment.”
