Benidorm addresses the request of Armanello owners to promote the development of the sector
The City Council is studying the request of the Agrupación de Interés Urbanístico (AIU) of the PP1 / 1 Armanello to promote an integrated action program for the urban development of the sector. The application of the AIU, which already represents 70% of the landowners, has been addressed at a meeting of the Technical Commission created by the City Council to plan and map the present and future of this sector, the most important in the city pending development.
A meeting in which, together with the mayor, Toni Pérez, members of the local government and representatives of the municipal groups Ciudadanos (Cs), Liberals of Benidorm (LiBE) and Compromís-Los Verdes participated; as well as municipal technicians.
In the course of the meeting, it has been reiterated the unfeasibility of the City Council directly managing the sector for "the complexity of material and human resources required", and has been exposed the convenience of this management is in charge of the own AIU but being the City Council promoter.
The admission of this application and other aspects related to the development of this sector will materialize in the coming days in a new call, still undated, by the Technical Commission.
During the same meeting, the road map followed so far by the City Council was also moved, and the intention of the owners to undertake the actions indicated by the City Council to ensure the image, decoration and security in their plots of Armanello.
