Beach Volleyball pays tribute to Pedro Alós in Benidorm once again
More than 200 young athletes have participated in the ninth edition of the Costa Blanca Beach Volleyball ‘Hijos de Pedro Alós’ which was held this Sunday on the Poniente beach in Benidorm, organised by Poniente Benidorm Beach Volleyball Club with the collaboration of Benidorm City Council.
A total of 39 teams have registered in the three mixed categories that the event contemplates, which every year pays tribute to the person who has been, is and will continue to be, the precursor of beach volleyball in the city, Pedro Alós.
The Councillor for Sports, Javier Jordá, and other members of the corporation have attended the last matches and have participated with them in the award ceremony for the winning teams, together with the president of the entity, Raúl Mesa and Raúl Parra, president of AICO, (Independent Association of Merchants of Benidorm) representing the private promoters.
In the Under 10 category, the Deportistas team was the winner, followed by Campeones, Los Pro and Tiburones. In the Under 18 category, the first place went to Beach Volleyball, the second to Carasuno and the third to Benisal. Finally, in the Senior category, Doncellas Gabo won, followed by Litunanenses and Ana y los 4.
