Bavallons, in the Children's category, and El Parotet and Desterrats, in Adults, win the prizes in the playback contests

Bavallons club in the Children's contest and El Parotet (humor category) and Desterrats (musical category) in Adults were the winning clubs of the Playback contests, which were held last night in Julio Iglesias Auditorium of Parque de l'Aigüera within the activities organized by Associació de Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge' on the occasion of  Dia de les Penyes, which the members of the clubs enjoyed en masse and which numbered in the thousands throughout the night and the day in general amid a great atmosphere as a prelude to the Festes Majors Patronals in two weeks.

In the Children's category, the victory went to Penya Bavallons with a number about the entertainment world. The second prize went to Penya L'Espardenya, with a performance with World of Barbie as the protagonist. The third prize went to Sembrat Festa and its performance based on Toy Story. The fourth prize went to Malfaeners and their songs from the 'movida' and the fifth prize went to the penya El Cranc and their show about the songs of Hombres G. The consolation prizes went to Estem com volem and El gos i la tumba.

Outside of the competition, the public could also see the performance of the Children's Queen of the Festes Majors Patronals, Daniela Talavera, and her Dames, who paid tribute to Marisol.

In the Adult contest, in the humorous category, Penya El Parotet and its 'Noche Viejoventera' won first prize. La Resistència took second, Castanya and Melománics took third and La Magrana and Arredeu Manolet took fourth. As for the musical category, the first prize went to Desterrats. After this group, the jury rated La Revolada in second place, ahead of Quin Cacau and A Tot Arreu.

At the closing of the contest and out of competition, the Queen of the Festes Majors Patronal, Angélica Morenilla, and her Dames took to the stage to perform a brilliant and elaborate choreography with music by Rihanna and Shakira.

The mayor, Toni Pérez; the mayor of Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros; the Adult and Child Queens of the Festes Majors Patronals; the president of the Association, Ramón Cano; and the president of the Festes Majors Patronals Committee, Vicente Solaz, were in charge of presenting the awards to the winning clubs.

The prizes for the gymkhana that took place in the morning were also awarded, in which the penya '24 i jo' won ahead of XD and Fem rebombori. Likewise, special recognitions were given to the previous Festival Councilor, Jesús Carrobles, the staff of the Fiestas Department, as well as the choreographer of the dances of the queens and older and children's ladies, María José Moya.

After both contests, the subsequent awards ceremony, and the firing of a fireworks display, the activity continued in the Julio Iglesias auditorium until well into the early morning hours with a club party enlivened by Radio Benidorm SER and Los 40 Principales.
