The Association of Moors and Christians of Benidorm presents this weekend the charges for 2023 during the celebration of Mig Any, with which the Department of Fiestas collaborates and which is held in Ermita de Sanç. The presentation of charges, the central act of Mig Any, will be tomorrow, Saturday, April 1, at 1:30 p.m.
On the Christian side, Rosa Company Devesa, from Filà Cavallers de la Baronia, will occupy the position of Christian Queen; while Mª Carmen Moreno, from the Filà Nazaries, will be the Moorish Queen.
Both the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, and the president of the Moors and Christians Association, Francis Teuler, have highlighted that "2023 is the first festive exercise in the 35-year history of the Moors and Christians Festival in Benidorm in which the two representative figures of the festival are embodied by women”.
After the presentation of the charges, the day on Saturday will continue with an afternoon enlivened by a music band. On Sunday, the leading role will be for the little ones, closing the Mig Any festero in the afternoon.
