Aspanion celebrates this Sunday its fifth 'Trophy for a smile' incorporating nautical activities
The Councilor for Social Welfare acting, Angela Llorca, this morning has presented the fifth edition of 'Trophy for a smile' to be held next Sunday, June 2, from 09.00 in Julio Iglesias Auditorium. In the meeting with the media has been accompanied by the president of Aspanion (Association of Parents of Children with Cancer of the Valencian Community), Fran Morcuende, and another representative of the association, Pedro Serrano. The event has the collaboration of Club Náutico de Benidorm.
The 'Trophy for a smile' is a fun-sporting day that aims to raise funds to continue helping families who are fighting the disease. The councilor Angela Llorca has encouraged all people of Benidorm to go this Sunday and so "put together our little grain of sand to help Aspanion."
The president of Aspanión, Fran Morcuende, has explained the program of activities that this year and instead of realizing a football or handball tournament as in other occasions, on the occasion of the signing of the agreement of the Nautical Club with the association "we have decided to celebrate this day with kayak or sailing activities depending on the weather conditions ". Morcuende has also emphasized that there will be a yinkana that will have as "starting point the Julio Iglesias Auditorium and will end at the Yacht Club" taking the Plaza de SS as control points. The president of the Association has continued saying that after completing the yinkana the attendees will be able to enjoy: children's workshops, games, live music by the Ringo Rango group, Dj Vicky's performance with Spanish music of the 80s, an exhibition from the AltaFit gym called "Strong", a baptism of the sea for the children of Aspanion and the presence of "the patrol boat of the Spanish army Formentor open so that the assistants can visit it".
As in previous editions, people who finish the yinkana can take photos with the characters of the Star Wars saga, which will be posted on the Facebook of the Local Board of Aspanion and after 5 days the photos with more likes "will win an end of week for two people in a hotel. "
For its part, the representative of the association Pedro Serrano has commented that there will be a "bar with popular prices to animate this edition."
