The Benidorm and Regional Association of People with Disabilities (ASMIBE) held its twenty-first Charity Festival of Coexistence yesterday afternoon in the Óscar Esplá auditorium in Aigüera Park. This event was supported by the City Council's Departments of Social Welfare and Culture.

The event was chaired by the Councillor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí, accompanied by other members of the council who showed their support for the organisation chaired by Mari Fernández. Representatives of the city's various social groups were also present.

The first part of the event began with the theatrical performance "The Colour Monster," an exercise led by the Emotional Education Workshop. This was followed by the María José Moya Dance School and classical ballet with students aged 4 to 6. Nayeli, from Selene Roldán Vocal Coach, performed "Potra Salvaje," followed by Studio 5 Lourdes Jazz with "Yo viviré." Isabella Hernández, from Asmibe, performed "La Bamba," followed by María José Moya's students with "Por eso te canto." The first part of the festival was closed by Asmibe's Expresiones Dance Group with "Pirates of the Caribbean."

After a short break, the second part began with "La gata bajo la lluvia" (Cat in the Rain) sung by Iker, from Selene Roldán Vocal Coach, and a lyrical dance by Studio 5 Lourdes Cánovas, with "Lovely." Yasmine, a student at the Roberto Carballo Music School, performed "Hey Soul Sister" and "Take Me Home, Country Roads," giving way to the María José Moya Dance School with a modern dance performance by the 4- to 6-year-old students. The song "Nochentera," sung by Mireia, a Selene Roldán Vocal Coach, and the Expresiones de Asmibe dance group, "Estoy Hecho de Pedacitos de Ti," brought the event to a close, which more than two hundred people attended.

The audience celebrated and supported Asmibe throughout, accompanying the musical performances with applause and cheers. Once again, this year's success for the association was achieved in an auditorium with a packed house.
