Around 600 students collect medals for their participation in the 43rd Benidorm School Sports Games

Around 600 Benidorm students from thirteen public schools and the Catholic school collected their medals this Friday afternoon for participating in the 43rd edition of the School Sports Games in the 2024-2024 academic year by the Department of Sports in collaboration with the Department of Education.
The councilors for both departments, Javier Jordá and Maite Moreno, along with other local government councilors, including José Ramón González de Zárate, who is also a regional deputy, were responsible for presenting the medals to all participating students in an event that transformed the pitch of the Nerea Pérez Machado Football Field at the Guillermo Amor Sports City into the setting for a true sporting celebration.
Javier Jordá recalled that these Multi-Sport School Games "are in their 43rd year," and that "throughout their history, thousands of children from Benidorm have been introduced to sports thanks to this municipal initiative."
He also congratulated all the junior and senior students from the public schools Serra d'Aitana, Ausiàs March, Bautista Lledó, Els Tolls, El Murtal, Gabriel Miró, La Cala, Leonor Canalejas, Mestre Gaspar López, Miguel Hernández, Puig Campana, Serra Gelada, and Vasco Núñez de Balbora, and the catholic school Ntra. Sra. de los Dolores, who participated in the School Sports Games this year. He also congratulated the municipal sports instructors for "bringing sports closer to the children of our city and, in doing so, promoting active leisure activities and healthy lifestyle habits."
