A moor march in tribute to the figure of Andrés Teuler, sadly disappeared last January

"Andrés, music i tagarino" by Azael Tormo, winner of the XX Festera Music Contest

26 September 2021
XX Concurso de Música Festera.
XX Concurso de Música Festera.

Julio Iglesias auditorium in Parque de l'Aigüera has been the setting chosen for the premiere of "Andrés, music i tagarino", Azael Tormo's original Moorish march that won the 20th edition of Festera Music Composition Contest 'Villa de Benidorm' organized by the Department of Culture.

The concert was the only activity that could be held after the cancellation of Benidorm Moors and Christians Festival, due to the health situation caused by Covid-19.

More than 300 people gathered at Julio Iglesias to enjoy the audition of Unió Musical de Benidorm, under the baton of its director Oswaldo Olmos. Among them, members of the Municipal Corporation, led by the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the councilors of Culture and Festivities, Jaime Jesús Pérez and Jesús Carrobles.

As for the representatives of the festive collective, the Queens of the Festes Majors Patronals, Paula Pérez and Sofía Fuster were present; the presidents of the Commission, Batiste Rostoll, and of the Associació de Penyes ‘Verge del Sofratge’, Adrián Romero and, of course, members of all the Moorish and Christian clubs of the City.
