AFEM displays on the balcony of the Mayor's Office the 20-year-old commemorative banner helping the mentally ill and their families
The president of the Association of Relatives and Mentally Ill (AFEM Marina Baixa), Consuelo Muro, has displayed today on the balcony of the City Hall the banner commemorating the 20th anniversary of the association. An act in which she was accompanied by the mayor of the city, Toni Pérez; The councillor of Social Welfare, Angela Llorca; and several members of the municipal corporation of Benidorm.
To commemorate its 20 years in Benidorm, Afem has also scheduled a conference by the Provincial Deputy of People Welfare, Miguel Zaragoza, which was held from 11:45 in the Assembly Hall of Benidorm Cityt Council. This event has included the performance of the string of Amigos de la Música, which has performed a series of classical pieces, and a cocktail served by students from the School of Hospitality of the Mediterranean IES, which have held an exhibition of artisan cuts of fruit.
Since its creation in 1997, Afem's work and permanent vindication in our region has enabled the mentally ill of the Baixa marina to have suitable centers for their treatment, depending on the different pathologies, which has also been supported by the relatives of these patients.
