AFEM, 20 years of struggle for people with mental illness and their families

Tomorrow, March 14, marks the 20th anniversary of Afem Marina Baixa Foundation , (Association of Relatives and Mentally Ill), a non-profit organization that defends and fights for the rights of this group in the region.

To commemorate his first 20 years in Benidorm, Afem, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, has scheduled a series of events that will start tomorrow, starting at 11.00 am, with the raising of a commemorative banner in the dependencies Municipalities of the Plaza de His Majesties the Kings of Spain. The activities will continue at 11.45 with a conference by the deputy Provincial of Welfare of the People, Miguel Zaragoza, in the Auditorium of the Town Hall of Benidorm, after which the string set of Amigos de la Música will interpret a series of classical pieces The events of the 20th anniversary will end with a refreshment served by the School of Hospitality of IES Mediterránea that will also perform an exhibition of artisan cuts of fruit.
