From next Monday until mid-June, the sidewalk closest to the area of action will be unused
Access to Beniardá from the CV-70 will be limited in its final section to one lane during the FGV works at the TRAM station
As of next Monday, May 17, and until mid-June, access to Beniardá Avenue from CV-70 will be limited in its final section, from the entrance to the park- and- ride car park to Estación Street, to a single lane of circulation. The Councilor for Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate, has explained this limitation is due to the renovation works of the TRAM station that Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) is going to carry out and that for approximately one month the service of TRAM between the Creueta and Benidorm Intermodal stations.
De Zárate has indicated that "we are talking about a section of lane of less than 100 meters, but that it is necessary to disable to facilitate these renovation works at the station so that they are completed as soon as possible". The councillor recalled that there are "other access routes to the urban area that, if necessary and coinciding with peak hours, can also be used as an alternative to enter Benidorm."
While these works last, "the section of sidewalk between Estación street and the park- and- ride car park that runs closest to the TRAM station will also remain out of service, so pedestrians must use the opposite sidewalk."
As reported today from FGV, the entity will offer bus service to users between the Creueta and Benidorm Intermodal stations. The bus stops will be made in Creueta, Costera Pastor, Hospital La Vila, CC La Marina-Finestrat, Benidorm and Benidorm Intermodal, while Terra Mítica stop will be without service during the works.
