The 46 primary school students who have participated in the Educational Support Program (PAEV), during the months of July and August at CEIP Ausiàs March, have collected their accrediting diplomas today in an event attended by teachers, parents, the mayor Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno.

PAEV offers, during the months of July and August, classes to improve performance to Primary students (from First to Sixth) who, for various reasons, did not obtain the expected results during the school year.

Toni Pérez has taken the floor to thank the commitment of Ausiàs March educational team that in "a time marked by the pandemic" has been able to facilitate "access to educational resources to those who need it most" and has valued the commitment of the minors who, thanks to the PAEV, "will face the next course with greater guarantees".

With the program, the minors have been able to correct the educational deficiencies detected and prepare to achieve the objectives set in the following year. Maite Moreno recalled that registration had a cost of 63.79 euros per student "although the City Council valued the situation of some families and 17 students have been 100% subsidized by Education, 34% of the total."

Moreno has also specified that, of the total of registered minors, "37% are Spanish, and 63% are from other countries." The activities in Ausiàs March have been developed from Monday to Friday in two shifts: from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for two hours a day structured in two 60-minute sessions “dedicated to the support and reinforcement of the curricular subjects: mathematics, Spanish language, Valencian and English ”.

During this time, the students have been able to enjoy the facilities of CEIP Ausiàs March, adapted to the demands of the health authorities. After the collection of the diplomas that certify the use of the teachings given, the little ones will be able to enjoy a short period of vacation that will end on September 8 with the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
