232 minors obtain a place in the three municipal nursery schools and the SAPI

20 May 2022
Escuelas Infantiles.

232 children from 0 to 2 years old have obtained a place in the three municipal nursery schools of Benidorm -Les Fontanelles, Les Caletes and El Tossalet- and in the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) for the 2022/2023 academic year, according to informed today the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno. The provisional lists of allocation of places have been published today on the Notice Board of the Electronic Headquarters (https://sede.benidorm.org).

Moreno has detailed that “of the 232 places awarded, 16 correspond to babies under 1 year old; 142 are for 1-year-olds, and the remaining 74 are from P2”. The mayor has indicated that "for this next course 319 applications have been received, somewhat more than the previous year, so the supply of available places has been covered."

To these 319 applications, "there are added 3 more for boys and girls who have not been born yet-, who will go on to the vacancy coverage list after the final lists, respecting the order of grading".

In the event of vacancies, the mayor has specified that "families will be called in order of coverage list, although the award of the place will be conditional on the birth of the minor and compliance with the minimum age required to join the nursery school, which is 4 months.

After the process of provisional allocation of places, "84 minors are currently on the waiting list." However, once the entire process of claims and allegations has been completed, "only minors with the family unit registered in Benidorm will be added to the official waiting list, who are the ones who have priority when it comes to accessing the places of the municipal network.

Moreno has indicated that "as in previous courses, there may be movement in the P2 waiting list since in parallel to the process of schooling in municipal nursery schools, the request for a place for the classrooms has also been developed. of 2-year-olds authorized by the Regional Ministry in the Aitana, Vasco Núñez de Balboa, Mestre Gaspar López and Puig Campana schools”.

The councillor of Education has reported that "the deadline for claims to the provisional lists is open from today until Tuesday the 24th." The final lists will be published on May 30, which can be claimed from that same day until June 1. Subsequently, each centre will set the registration date.
