The next two appointments will be on April 21 and 27 by Alpí Teatre and Tossal Teatre

The 1st Benidorm Amateur Theater Exhibition organized by the Department of Culture opened yesterday with a full house in the auditorium of the cultural center. The Municipal Theater Workshop, under the direction of Manuel Troncoso, was in charge of opening the contest with the play 'La comedia de las mentiras', signed by Pep Antón and Sergi Pompermayer.

The performance of this comedy of entanglements was attended, among others, by the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, who assured that "there was no better way to start in the cultural center than by the hand of local companies and performers". Likewise, he highlighted that "it is a satisfaction to see the enthusiastic response of the public to this 1st Amateur Theater Show with which we intend to give visibility and value the performing arts, especially those that are born and promote the cultural associative fabric of Benidorm".

The next appointment of the I Amateur Theater Show will be on Friday, April 21 by the Alpí Teatre company, with the play 'Las gracias mohosas', written in the 17th century by Feliciana Enríquez de Guzmán and which has been rescued as a result of of a merger with Woman's Legacy to bring out of oblivion women who in those times had no significance because they were women. The performance will begin at 8:00 p.m. and admission is free.
At the same time, on Thursday, April 27, and also in the cultural center, it will be the turn of Tossal Teatre and 'Hamlet' by William Shakespeare.
