Thirteen establishments are participating in the fourth edition of the Benidorm Gastronomic Cocktail Competition

The mayor highlights the level of the proposals presented and that these events "allow us to expand the offering and its quality."
Thirteen Benidorm hospitality establishments will participate this year in the fourth edition of the "Cocktail Competition," the penultimate initiative of Benidorm Gastronomic 2025, whose presentation took place this afternoon at Domingo Devesa Tourism Development Centre (CDT). There, the city's mayor, Toni Pérez; the president of Abreca, Francisco Javier del Castillo; and the current sponsor of Benidorm Gastronomic, Licinio García, along with other members of the City Council and representatives of the local hospitality sector, were the first to learn about the proposals of the thirteen establishments vying to win the votes of the jury and the public in this competition, which will take place from September 19 to 28.
Toni Pérez highlighted the high quality of the proposals submitted, while also congratulating Abreca for once again promoting this type of event, "which serves to expand our city's offerings beyond the high season and also to elevate its quality."
As explained by both the mayor and the Abreca representative, each of the participating establishments is submitting two cocktails: one with alcohol and one without, priced at €9 and €7, respectively, according to the competition rules.
To vote, customers must visit one of these venues and taste the cocktail submitted, then scan the QR code with their mobile phone and rate it between 1 and 5 stars. Voters can provide their phone number to enter a drawing for six vouchers redeemable for a cocktail each among all participants in the voting process. These votes will also be used to determine the "Special Mention from the Public 2025" for the most voted entry, with or without alcohol.
The competition will also feature a jury made up of experts from the hospitality and cocktail sectors, who were able to taste and rate the different cocktails this Thursday. The cocktails with the most votes from the experts will win the "Jury Award for Best Cocktail 2025" and the "Special Mention from the Jury for Best Non-Alcoholic Cocktail 2025," as explained by the organisers. The awards will be announced on Friday, October 3.
The establishments participating in this fourth edition are: Baldo, Camarote Club, D-Vora, Hotel Alameda, Jolly Rogers, La Pinta, La Pinta Beach, La Terrasse By Port Hotels, Madeira Centro, Malaspina, Pinochio Playa, Shija Sabores de los Balcanes, and Urban Beach.
Javier del Castillo congratulated all the participants and noted that the cocktails submitted to the competition "are wonderful creations." He emphasised that, of the 13 participants, six are hotels, also praising their commitment to participating in this type of initiative. The president of Abreca also stated that this year, "they have created some wonderful cocktails with a level of creativity unlike anything we've seen before, which shows that this competition is getting better every year."
For his part, Mayor Toni Pérez thanked Abreca and all the participants for their involvement in bringing this new Benidorm Gastronomic event to fruition and stated, "We continue to strive to make our leading destination better every day because we are in the best hands." In this regard, the mayor emphasised that the Cocktail Competition takes place "after the high season, during what a few years ago we began to call the 'peak season,' a period also marked by very high occupancy," and alluded to the summer campaign "where the numbers have once again positioned Benidorm as the leading destination it is."
Finally, the mayor invited residents and tourists to try and enjoy these cocktails, as well as "every one of the offerings from our hoteliers and our Benidorm Gastronomic."
Following this 'Cocktail Competition', which will take place from September 19 to 28, Benidorm Gastronomic 2025 calendar will have its next and final event from October 17 to 26, with the '14th Earth Rice Festival'.
