320 students from the secondary schools in Benidorm have started today in their own centers the tests of the Baccalaureate Assessment for Access to the University (EBAU) that has been organized by the Management Commission for the University Access Tests (PAU). In the last three years they had to move to La Nucía, the usual headquarter of the PAU Court.
On this occasion, the effects of Covid-19 has conditioned the academic calendar and has determined that students develop the tests on July 7, 8 and 9 in their own academic centers.
The exams have started at 9:30 am at the secondary schools of the city, Bernat de Sarriá, Mediterrània, Beatriu Fajardo, l’Almadrava, Pere Mª Orts i Bosch, and Colegio Internacional Lope de Vega. Students had to show up at 8:15 am to start the identification process and comply with the security protocols enabled for physical distance, masks and gel.
Another novelty that is applied this year to the Selectivity exams is that, due to the new reality experienced since the outbreak of the pandemic -which has conditioned the development and end of the academic year-, this year the tests offer more options for reply. The essence and philosophy of the same are maintained as in previous years, but the option is increased: the students will have more questions and more flexibility to choose those that they answer.
The tests take place from 9:30 to 19:15 hours, with breaks of 45 minutes between tests.
The notes will be made public on Friday, July 17.
