The president of the Lions Clubs International Foundation, Fabrício Oliveira, visited Benidorm City Hall this Wednesday, accompanied by numerous representatives from the Benidorm Lions Club and other Lions clubs. This visit was part of the activities he is undertaking during his time in the Valencian Community. Oliveira was received in the Mayor's office by the city's mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí, with whom he discussed the city's situation and the support the City Council provides to the local Lions Club's activities.
In addition to his stay in Benidorm, the Foundation president also visited the area affected by the devastating floods caused by the DANA storm of October 29, 2024, in the province of Valencia, accompanied by the Generalitat's Commissioner for Recovery, Raúl Mérida, among others. There, he was able to verify the destination of the money donated by the organisation for reconstruction actions in municipalities such as Algemesí, Paiporta or Massanassa.
