The plenary approves the protocol agreed with the SPTCV to reactivate the work of the cultural center
The plenary of the corporation of Benidorm has supported by a large majority the proposal of the mayor, Toni Pérez, to approve the protocol of intentions agreed with the Society of Thematic Projects of the Valencian Community (SPTCV) in order to restart the works of the cultural center. This protocol, prior to the signing of an agreement between the parties, includes a first phase of work that includes the execution of a smaller room of 546 seats, professional conservatory of music and dance, cafeteria, treatment of facades and decks of All these areas. In the protocol the City Council undertakes to start the file to change the legal figure by which the land was made available to the SPTCV to build the cultural center. Thus, it will be necessary to declare the nullity of the surface right granted to the SPTCV and its replacement by a demanial concession, which is exempt from VAT. This change is not less, since in those years that surface rights has generated to the City Hall a disbursement of about 1.5 million euros in land VAT. If the change were made, that annual VAT would be canceled. Before the debate on the agenda began, the spokesperson for Ciudadanos (Cs), Rafael Gasent, asked on behalf of the opposition groups to leave on the table all points raised by the local government, Relative to the protocol of intentions with the SPTCV. In response to the government's refusal to comply with this request, the opposition groups have voted to leave these issues on the table. Motions of the opposition

Emergency motions
