Mobility has installed new traffic lights at the height of Camí del Salt de l'Aigua, El Fariner and El Palasiet to reduce speed and facilitate the incorporations from La Huerta
The new traffic light at the crossings of Comunidad Valenciana Avenue are operational
The three new traffic lights installed in Comunidad Valenciana Avenue are already operational. The councilman of Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate, has reported that these crossings are at the height of Camí del Salt de l'Aigua, El Fariner and El Palasiet, and are added to those that already worked in the Séquia Mare , Camí del Armanello and 'El Estanquet'
De Zárate explained that with the installation of these new crossings "we intend to reduce the speed" on this avenue, "to try to improve road security and to have the least possible accident rate".
The person in charge of Mobility has clarified that Comunidad Valenciana avenue is "urban and, as such, pedestrians and bicycles have preference", and added that the residents of La Huerta "had moved us that they had great difficulties to incorporate themselves from their houses to the main road "due to the important traffic that supports and the speed with which many vehicles circulate. Two issues that "will be regulated and corrected now with the new traffic light crossings and also with the speed reducers that have been implemented throughout the avenue" within the project of the 'Cyclist Ring' of Levante.
The head of Mobility, which is also at the head of Urban Space, recalled that "in recent months the City Council has acted throughout Comunidad Valenciana avenue with measures to improve traffic and circulation, and also the image of this via, main access to Benidorm from l'Alfàs del Pi and Altea ". Among these actions is the planting of more than a hundred palm trees, the renovation of part of the luminaries or the adaptation of the environment of the crossing of 'El Estanquet'.
