Toni Pérez says that this speciality of medicine "helps people have the opportunity to fulfil a dream."

Benidorm becomes the epicentre of assisted human reproduction today and tomorrow with the 18th Congress of the National Association of Assisted Reproduction Clinics (ANACER), being held in the City Hall Auditorium. This event, which was inaugurated this morning by Mayor Toni Pérez, brings together nearly one hundred experts over the course of two days.
This annual congress has established itself as a benchmark in the sector, bringing together prestigious specialists to analyze the latest advances, discuss the challenges of fertility, and share clinical experiences with presentations on current topics in the sector.

In his speech, Toni Pérez addressed the attendees, stating that "you help people have the opportunity to fulfil a dream because you are there for those who want to start a family." Pérez emphasized that in our country "we can provide excellent care in this speciality thanks to the latest advances available to us" and affirmed that the assisted reproduction sector "is developing with the times despite the rapid pace of technological progress."

Similarly, the mayor equated this medical sector with the spirit of Benidorm, "which has also been dedicated for decades to making those who visit us happy." Finally, he wished them "a very fruitful day" and that they "enjoy the city in any free time they have," and that "when they are no longer here, they recommend it."

After the official opening ceremony, the event continued with presentations. Among them, some highlights include "Lessons learned from performing PGT-A on more than 64,000 embryos" by Dr. Roberto Matorras, a leading expert in the field of embryo genetics, and "Controversies over the use of calcium ionophores after ICSI fertilization failures" by Dr. Minerva Ferrer.

Dr Signe Altmäe will present the lecture on "Endometrial Microbiota," which will address the latest discoveries on the influence of the microbiome on embryo implantation. Dr. Ignacio Mazzanti, president of ANACER, will also present the "Results of the ANACER multicenter study on gonadotropins."

The congress is a meeting point for knowledge exchange and an opportunity for professionals in the sector to expand their network of contacts and discover the latest innovations in fertility treatments. It is, therefore, an event that should set trends in the field of assisted reproduction and provide valuable information for patients and specialists.
