The program once again drew a large audience on social media and was a worldwide and national trending topic with over 81,000 mentions.

Mayor Toni Pérez emphasised that Benidorm Fest is “a fully established brand” and that the goal “is to continue adding editions and make each year better.”

More than a million viewers tuned in last night on La1 of Spanish Radio and Television (RTVE) to watch Toni Grox and Lucycalis win the Golden Mermaid award at the fifth edition of Benidorm Fest, which was once again a resounding success, becoming the most-watched television program of the day and night on Saturday, with a 12.1% share and an average of 1,085,000 viewers, almost 300,000 more than the second most-watched program of the day. Furthermore, Benidorm Fest final reached 4.1 million viewers during the live broadcast, according to audience figures, in addition to those who watched the program on RTVE Play, RTVE's international channels, or Radio Nacional de España.

The gala, presented by Jesús Vázquez, Javier Ambrossi, Inés Hernand, and Lalachus, also had a huge following on social media, once again becoming a worldwide and national trending topic, with over 81,000 mentions and engagement in more than twenty countries on the social network X (formerly Twitter), where the hashtags #benidormfestfinal, #benidormfest2026, #benidormfest, and #benidormfest were prominent.

All these viewers watched as Tony Gorx and Lucycalys obtained 166 points from the jury, public, and public vote, crowning them the winners of the competition. They were followed by Asha, with 144 points, and Rosalinda Galán, with 140 points, in what was one of the most competitive and high-calibre finals in the five editions of Benidorm Fest. The rankings continued with Izan Llunas, with 139 points; Miranda! And bailamamá, with 118 points; Kitai, with 103 points; The Quinquis, with 93 points; María León and Julia Medina, who totalled 82 points; Dani J, with 80 points; Mikel Herzog Jr., with 79 points; Mayo, with 64 points; and Kenneth, last place with 40 points.

Most social media posts originated in Spain, at 66.9%, but other countries with significant numbers included Colombia, which accounted for 16.3%. There was also considerable engagement in Mexico and the US, with 2.7% and 1.7% of the total, respectively. Of the total mentions registered on this network, around 57,000 originated from Spain, although tweets about Benidorm Fest also appeared in locations as far-flung as Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Russia, Canada, South Africa, Angola, Sierra Leone, and Malaysia, among others, demonstrating the international reach of the event.

By gender, 57.1% of the users who posted about the final were men, compared to 42.9% women. The largest audience was between 25 and 34 years old (21,549 tweets), followed by those aged 18 to 27 (13,529 tweets) and those aged 35 to 44 (3,322). The majority of posts occurred between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.

Between 8 pm and 11 pm, digital interest increased 75-fold, registering enormous growth before the gala began, while the absolute peak was at 11 pm, with maximum activity and 21,000 mentions on X. Also noteworthy is the high number of Google searches it generated, again with more than 20,000 entries, as was the case in the two semifinals.

Regarding its presence on Spotify and YouTube, Benidorm Fest tracks reached 11.9 million plays across both platforms this year. It has also been revealed that streams on the Swedish platform, which this year offered a prize to one of Benidorm Fest participants (Asha), have exceeded 7.5 million, and that the most-streamed song so far has been "Despierto amándote" by Miranda! and Bailamamá. On YouTube, the most-played song so far is "Tú no me quieres" by The Quinquis, with nearly a million views.

In addition, the special performances from the grand finale also generated thousands of views on RTVE Música's online channels between last night and this afternoon. The most-viewed performance to date is that of Melody, winner of Benidorm Fest 2025, with 12,000 views; followed by "Karaoke Benidorm Fest," featuring Nebulossa, Blanca Paloma, Vicco, Agoney, Jorge González, Almácor, and Daniela Blasco, which had over 7,300 views; and Chanel, the first winner of the competition, with 7,200 views.

“The great celebration of Spanish music”

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, this afternoon congratulated Tony Grox and Lucycalis once again on their overall victory at Benidorm Fest and for the award given by Univision, as well as Asha, winner of the Spotify award. Following the press conference, which took place at El Castell and was also attended by the Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles; the Regional Minister for Industry, Tourism, Innovation and Commerce of the Valencian Government, Marián Cano; the Director of Communication and Participation of RTVE, María Eizaguirre; and several members of the Board of Directors of the public broadcaster, Toni Pérez emphasized that the audience figures, viewership, and impact of this festival "confirm that Benidorm Fest brand has been fully consolidated, being the most-watched program of the day, despite the enormous challenges of the dates" on which it was held.

In his opinion, “Benidorm Fest has great appeal for the public; it is the great celebration of Spanish music and culture,” after which he confirmed that “the goal is to continue celebrating editions for many more years, and for each year to be better than the last,” the mayor concluded.

Tribute and presentation of little mermaids

Minutes before the start of the final gala of this fifth edition, and taking advantage of the presence of the winners from the previous four editions, Palau d’Esports, where  Benidorm Fest is celebrated, hosted the city's tribute to the winners of this competition. Mayor Toni Pérez presented a replica of the Golden Mermaid to Chanel, Blanca Paloma, Nebulossa, and Melody, who had previously won the Bronze Microphone trophy and will now also possess this historic trophy, recovered from the legendary Benidorm Song Festival.

Also present at the ceremony were Regional Minister Marián Cano, María Eizaguirre, and members of the board of directors of the public broadcaster, among others.
