More than 5,000 people participate in the Solidarity March of Anémona forming a great pink tide along the streets of Benidorm
This morning, at 10.00 a.m., the XVII Solidarity March organized by Anémona Marina Baixa (Women's Self-Help Group with Breast Cancer) began, which this year record participation has been broken, with more than 5,000 citizens throughout the 10 km of march, creating an authentic 'pink tide'.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the councilor of Equality Ángela Zaragozí, and practically the entire municipal corporation along with the associative and festive movement, as the president of the Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals, Roberto Carretero, the president of the Associació de Penyes, Coly Pérez along with the queens and court of honor have participated in this act, which every year grows in number of participants and that began at Plaza de Sus Majestades los Reyes de España, touring Paseo de Poniente to Tamarindos and coming back to the Consistory.
The march has been enjoyed in a party atmosphere to which spontaneous applause from terraces and balconies of many of the people in a summer morning in Benidorm.
Toni Pérez expressed his satisfaction in this seventeenth edition of the Solidarity March of Anémona the great success "breaking records of participation, and involvement of the entire society" and the "good atmosphere" that was experienced throughout the entire journey one more year.
Once finished, several manifests were read by the queens of the Festes Majors Patronals 2019, Paula Mayor and Marina Carrillo. The end point was set by Fabiola Torres with a zumba session accompanied by the popular bar and the rice tasting.
