More than 400 people welcome summer at the Hermitage of Sanç with Festa de Sant Antoni

More than 400 people participated last night in one of Benidorm's traditional summer events: the "Sopar de Sant Joan" (Saint John's Soup), organised by the Sant Antoni Festival Committee, which once again took place at the Ermita de Sanç. Benidorm residents, especially from the Huerta neighbourhood, and representatives from numerous social organisations and festival committees participated in the evening, which is organised every year to coincide with the arrival of summer and the celebration of the San Juan bonfires.
Among them were the Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the Councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros; and other members of the Municipal Council, who accompanied and congratulated the President of the Sant Antoni Festival, Irene Maris, and her entire committee for the excellent organisation of the event. Also attending this traditional festival were the queens of the 2025 Festes Majors Patronals, Paula Pascual Sánchez and Aitana Pérez Guitiérrez, some of their bridesmaids, and the president of the Festivities Commission, Susana Martínez.
The mayors of the Festa de Sant Antoni faithfully followed the tradition of building a homemade bonfire with old clothing and furniture in the Plaza de la Ermita, with which they welcomed all attendees. In addition, after dinner, they offered music and a bar at affordable prices to liven up the evening and raise funds for the organisation of their main event, the San Antonio Abad festivities, which will take place next January.
