The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, today has defended once again the relevance and effectiveness of the public-private tourism management that for some years has been materialized in the Visit Benidorm Foundation. The mayor has reaffirmed this message during the closing ceremony of the General Assembly of the hotel management Hosbec, which has been held in the Valencian Institute of Tourist Technologies and in which also have participated the autonomic secretary of Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana, Francesc Colomer, and the president of the association, Toni Mayor.
Pérez has focused on the necessary collaboration between administrations and the sector; And recalled that, under the conviction that this model of management is the one that should govern the promotion of the tourist destination and being clear that "we are tourism," the corporation has approved in the municipal budget this year to increase the economic resources that the City council contributes to the mixed entity.
He also highlighted the work carried out by the businessmen of Hosbec last year with the City Council in the Fundación Benidorm, and has agreed with its interlocutors that for the immediate future there are "many challenges" in tourism.
