Luis Duart room at Boca del Calvari Museum includes an audiovisual exhibition featuring Benidorm's main historical landmarks

La sala ‘Luis Duart’ del Museu Boca del Calvari incorpora un audiovisual con los principales hitos históricos de Benidorm

The "Luis Duart Alabarta" room at the Boca del Calvari Museum has incorporated an audiovisual presentation showcasing some of Benidorm's main historical landmarks, "thus complementing the journey offered by the archaeological artefacts exhibited in this space, which are part of the municipal museum collection." This was stated by Ana Pellicer, the Councillor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, who explained that the installation of this new resource coincided with International Archaeology Day, celebrated today, July 28.

Pellicer stated that "exactly one year ago, on this day, we opened the museum's Archaeology Room to the public, bringing our historical heritage closer to residents and tourists and exhibiting for the first time some of the assets that make up Benidorm's museum collection, which includes artefacts ranging from the Neolithic to the 20th century."

The councilor explained that "from tomorrow, anyone visiting the Museum will have access to this audiovisual presentation, an original timeline highlighting significant events such as the granting of the first and second Carta de Poblament, the French occupation, the inauguration of the trenet, and the arrival of drinking water." Pellicer noted that "this resource makes visiting the museum even more attractive and also provides an educational plus, especially for younger generations."

"Any time is a good time to vindicate and value our history and heritage and to increase the resources available to disseminate them, but doing so in the year the city celebrates its 700th anniversary makes it even more special," she added.
