‘Emplea Náutica’, second prize. ‘Benidorm DMC’ and ‘Taller de creatividad’, accésits
An initiative of architectural graphic visualization, first prize of the Entrepreneurial Ideas
The fifteenth edition of the Entrepreneurial Ideas Contest of the Department of Employment and Local Development already has winners. Jorge Flores, for the project ‘Visual study of experiences’, has been the best valued by the jury. It has received an endowment of 2,500 euros and a graphic tablet. In addition to the cash prize, Flores has obtained a free year of association in Jovempa (Young Entrepreneurs of the Marina Baixa).
The second prize, of 1,500 euros and another graphic tablet, has gone to Dionisio Navarro for his project "Nautical Employment", an employment network specialized in nautical activities. Alberto Gutiérrez for ‘Benidorm Destination Management Company’, an integral service of corporate events with a creative and innovative vision and Esther Botella, with de Creativity Workshop ’, a meeting point for people with social needs, have obtained two hundred euros accésits.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez; the director of the Invat.tut (Valencian Institute of Tourism Technologies), Francisco Juan Martínez; the president of Jovempa, Josep Llorca; the president of Memba (Association for the Development of Women Entrepreneurs of the Marina Baixa), María José Tent¸ and the head of the Innovation Area of the CEEI (European Center for Innovative Companies) of Elche, Olga Jornet.
The mayor of Benidorm has qualified the projects presented in the Entrepreneurial Ideas Contest of “the materialization of a dream that one day was an idea”. Toni Pérez has pointed out that "for us as an administration" the greatest satisfaction is "to see that what is presented to a contest materializes in a reality." It has just become "the gear of a machinery that can be vital in the form of a company."
With the Entrepreneurial Ideas, Benidorm "opens windows where there seemed to be only walls." A city that "has become," stressed the mayor, "in a large laboratory linked to destiny" and "the forefront of innovation and technology in something as important as tourism."
The entities collaborating with the City Council in this contest that invests in talent and in the promotion of self-employment, provide participants with the necessary advice to be able to develop their projects efficiently. The Department of Employment also offers its Space ‘Coworking’, the municipal business incubator.
