The Department of Historical Heritage, through the Municipal Library, has convened the children's drawing activity ‘Galaxia Hung’, on the occasion of the Taiwanese artist's homonymous exhibition. The initiative is aimed at all children in Benidorm up to 14 years old. The best works will make up a new exhibition that can be seen at the Library.

The activity "is in tune with the urban photography contest that was launched on the occasion of Yi's presence in the city in which more than 300 people have participated," said Ana Pellicer, who has announced that the best drawings, based "In the silhouettes of the most significant works exhibited" they will later be "sent to the artist" to check "the influence of their creations on the children of Benidorm".

The councillor has highlighted the "impact" of the fourteen Hung Yi sculpture scattered around the city that have "in the smallest, possibly, their most unconditional audience for their color or forms that cannot go unnoticed in an urban environment." It should be remembered that the fourteen pieces of ‘Hung Galaxy’ are distributed in the following places: Mediterráneo Avenue, Hispanidad square, Gambo street and Sus Majestades los Reyes de España square, on the esplanade of the Town Hall.

Ana Pellicer has encouraged all children of Benidorm to "show their creativity taking as a reference the silhouettes of the sculptures". For this reason, her department together with the Department of Education led by Maite Moreno, have requested the participation of schools so that this "is as broad as possible."

Minors may use "any type of material such as glitter, colored sand, paints ...,". “The important thing - Pellicer has specified - is that they let their imagination fly and who knows? We still have a Hung Yi in the schools of Benidorm and we still don't know it ”.

Works must be presented at the Central Library (Plaza de Sus Majestades los Reyes de España, 3) until July 12, the last day of stay of Hung Yi's work in Benidorm. To facilitate participation, the City Council has prepared a document downloadable from Internet with the silhouettes already prepared on which the children will be able to work.
