130 students participate in a recital in which diplomas have been awarded to outstanding students and teaching professors' fringes to 20 new musicians

End-of-course concert of the Municipal Professional Conservatory of Music ‘José Pérez Barceló’

Students and teachers of the Municipal Professional Conservatory of Music 'José Pérez Barceló', have celebrated the end of the course with a concert in the Plaza de Sus Majestades Los Reyes de España in which more than 130 students have participated before more than 300 people.

The event was attended by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno; members of the three political groups of the municipal corporation; the provincial deputy José Ramón González de Zárate; the teaching team of the Conservatory led by its director, José Miguel Mollá, relatives and the general public. A concert that has shown the talent of young people led by the baton of Felipe Juan Lanuza, professor director of the Conservatory.

During the event, the diplomas were distributed to the students who have stood out the most during the course and Toni Pérez and Maite Moreno have handed out the borders of teaching professors to twenty new musicians. Next, the mayor addressed the students, new graduates and relatives present in a joint congratulations for "having chosen to be musicians" by highlighting the "personality and passion that imprint the career of professional studies in music".

Toni Pérez congratulated the organizers for having recovered, after the pandemic, the SS square. MM. the King and Queen of Spain for this type of event for its "magnificent acoustics" and highlighted the "great talent" of Benidorm's musicians trained in a "great conservatory" by "great professionals". Musicians whom he congratulated and whom he reminded that his city "will always be in debt" to them.

The concert had two parts. In the first, the Wind and Percussion Orchestra of the 1st and 2nd-year Professional Education students performed, performing 'De mayor seré', by Josep Cano in its four movements: 1. Singer. 2. Astronaut. 3. Circus artist. 4. Soccer player. The concert continued with Dakota, by Jacob de Haan, divided into three others: I. The great spirit. II. Buffalo hunting. III Smoking the pike. IV. The ghost dance. V. Pilgrims at Wounded Knee.

In the second part, the Wind and Percussion Orchestra has been formed with students from 3rd to 6th year of Professional Education to interpret 'Pórtico' by Antón Alcalde Rodríguez, an instrumental piece divided into three movements: I. Amanecer en Santiago de Compostela. II No Portico gives glory. And III Battle against the Taifa of Seville. The concert has ended with 'Juana de Arco', by Ferrer Ferrán.

End-of-course festival of the Municipal Elementary Dance Conservatory

This Friday, June 17, the Julio Iglesias auditorium in Parque de la Aigüera will host the End of Year Festival of the Municipal Elemental Dance Conservatory starting at 7:00 p.m. Admission to the event is free and the public will be able to enjoy works by classics such as Tchaikovsky, Chopin and Strauss (among others), and modern interpreters.
