Benidorm City Council has honoured today, Santa Rita's Day, the workers on its staff who have completed 25 years of service and those who have retired the last year. It has also been a heartfelt memory for the officials who have died this year. In an event held in the City Hall Assembly Hall, the mayor, Toni Pérez, together with the Councilor for Human Resources, Ana Soliveres, and other members of the Corporation, was in charge of giving the honorees the commemorative gifts, with which his years of public service are recognized. A celebration that had its first act with a mass at ten in the morning.

In the last year, 20 municipal workers from different areas have retired, while 14 have completed 25 years of service in the Benidorm City Council.

After the delivery of gifts and the emotional remembrance of the four deceased workers, Mayor Toni Pérez referred to the employees who have served 25 years at the City Council and pointed out that the council “makes no distinction where the 25 years have been served.” years of service". He wished the retired workers “a full, happy and healthy life” and he used humour to tell them “not to be too demanding with those they see on the street doing work.”

Pérez also wanted a memory “for the four companions” who left very young. We love them and their families. Each one has left a mark on their departments" and has assured that "neither this town hall nor Benidorm will ever forget all of them."

The mayor concluded his speech by reminding us, "we have a great responsibility as municipal employees, which is to serve the city of Benidorm in the best way and to the maximum.” The event concluded with a family photo in which the honorees participated, along with the mayor and the Councilor for Human Resources.
