Yvan Jover from Elche wins the National Award for new talents in Swimwear Fashion
The Castle of Benidorm is transformed into a fashionable catwalk
Yvan Jover from Elche has been the winner of the final of the first edition of the National Award of new talents of Swimwear Fashion that was held last night at the Castle of Benidorm. The twelve finalists, who passed the first phase in which 265 young creatives from all over Spain participated, showed their creations on a catwalk that has managed to gather a large group of professionals and 'influencers' in the city.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, who also holds the competencies in Tourism, along with the person in charge of Citizen Participation, Mª Jesús Pinto; the one of Youth, Ana Pellicer; and other companions of corporation, have attended an event that had to hang the poster of 'sold out' and that was presented by two benidormenses: the actor and broadcaster Miguel Ángel Fernández and the television journalist Mireia Llinares. As the culmination of the competition, shortly before the proclamation of the winners, the fashion brand Dolores Cortés, a world reference in swimwear fashion, exhibited this season's collection. We must remember that the creative director of this Villareal firm, Dolores Font Cortés, is the honor godmother of the award.
Among the twelve participants, two runners-up were given to Davinia Encabo and Virginia Fernández. Both will collaborate with the firm Dolores Cortés Swimwear in the preparation of the 2019 collection and, in addition, they will be able to enjoy two hotel nights for two people in Benidorm, a pattern computer program license and 1,500 euros. The absolute winner, Yuc Jover, the ilicitano, will also collaborate with the bathroom firm in the design of their designs for next year, has obtained the software license, five hotel nights for two people and 3,000 euros in cash.
