Benidorm library and the Red Cross are launching a school supplies collection campaign

For another year, Benidorm library has launched a school supplies collection campaign with the Red Cross, which will run from this Monday, September 1st, to October 30th.
The collection of supplies will take place at the Central Library and requires school supplies to be distributed to primary and secondary school students from low-income families in the city. These supplies will primarily include backpacks and pencil cases, but also other resources such as pencils, erasers, pens, sharpeners, colored pencils, markers, rulers, notebooks, white paper, glue, scissors, compasses, A4 folders, crayons, and plastic sleeves, among others.
Participants in this charitable effort who deliver supplies to the Central Library will receive a surprise book as a thank you for their collaboration.
The Councillor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer, stated that "the objective of this campaign is, once again, to collect school supplies that will then be distributed to families in vulnerable situations, providing resources for these children and thus making the return to school easier for those who need it most."
The councillor emphasised that "every year, Central Library users participate in the collection campaigns, and we are sure they will do so again." Therefore, she publicly invited the public to collaborate in this charitable effort.
