Fritanga, 'sang amb ceba', potato omelette, cakes, sausages and other culinary delights for only 10 euros
Benidorm enjoys 'Sopars de la Terra' in Ermita de Sanz
The Sant Antoni Festival Committee has celebrated, with the collaboration of the Department of Fiestas, the first edition of 'Sopars de la Terra' which took place last night at Ermita de Sanz.
The objective is to publicize the popular traditions and customs, especially gastronomy, of Benidorm and, in turn, raise funds to celebrate the festivities in honor of the saint that will take place next January.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, together with other members of the corporation have been able to enjoy this gastronomic offer in the company of the president of the Commission, Juan Pedro López. Thus, they have been able to taste, for only 10 euros, specialties such as firtanga, 'sang amb ceba', potato omelet, cakes, sausages, and other culinary delights.
On the occasion of the event, the Sant Antoni Commission recalls that on September 17, the traditional game:'Cagà de la burra' will take place in the Hermitage, for which 500 plots have been set up. In this popular raffle, you can participate with 10 euros to choose one of those plots. Whoever guesses which of them will make the animal its 'greater waters' will receive a prize of 1,000 euros.
