Benidorm is carrying out improvement works in l’Hort de Colón

Benidorm City Council has begun work on l'Hort de Colón to improve the exterior and interior aesthetics of the building and to carry out necessary repairs to ensure it looks its best before the summer season resumes.
The work to be carried out will primarily focus on painting the façade "so that it retains its appearance before the structural reinforcement work, which was a light yellow," explained Ana Pellicer, Councillor for Historical and Cultural Heritage. In addition, the bars on the façade will be painted, and minor paint repairs will be made to the interior of two windows on the ground floor.
The door locks, which have deteriorated over time, will also be replaced, and the locks on the main entrance door facing Tomás Ortuño Street will be repaired.
For the painting work, a lifting platform with a basket has been placed on the building's facade to carry out the work and comfortably reach all areas. The approximate timeframe for this work is estimated at three weeks. "Afterwards, the furniture will be moved from the house to refurbish the spaces, and the schedule of visits and events will begin in July," the councillor stated.
She indicated that these works have begun ahead of the start of the activities planned for the summer, about which full information will be provided in the coming days. "Since summer is just around the corner, we want l'Hort de Colón to look its best, hence these improvement works," said Pellicer, who added that "Music at l'Hort and theatrical tours" will also continue this year.
