The students enjoyed the theatrical performance ‘Flavors’ by Pampol Teatre at the Cultural Center

Benidorm brings theatre to more than 800 primary school students with a new session of ‘Joves Espectadors’

13 March 2026
Benidorm acerca el teatro a más de 800 estudiantes de Primaria con una nueva sesión del ‘Joves Espectadors’

More than 800 primary school students from the following schools participated in a new edition of the "Joves Espectadors" program, an initiative promoted by the Departments of Culture and Education. The performance took place this morning in  Rafael Doménech Pardo Auditorium at the Cultural Centre, at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The students attended the performance of "Sabores", presented by the Pampol Teatre company. Actors and puppets interacted with the audience in a performance featuring three internationally renowned chefs who meet at a grand gala to showcase their culinary skills.

Two shows were held this morning, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The Councillor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, pointed out that this activity “is a highly effective tool for reinforcing academic content from an artistic perspective,” also highlighting that the program allows “hundreds of young people in the municipality to experience the performing arts each year and foster their interest in theatre through educationally valuable activities.”

The councillor also emphasised that the program continues to fulfil its objective of creating new cultural audiences among young people, facilitating their direct contact with the performing arts through age-appropriate performances.

For her part, the Councillor for Education, Maite Moreno, explained that ‘Joves Espectadors’ is part of the complementary activities that the City Council offers to schools throughout the academic year, initiatives that “contribute to enriching students' education and promote interaction and exchange among students from different schools in the city.”
