AFA Marina Baixa organizes meetings, music therapy sessions, excursions and information tables
Alzheimer's Week starts on Monday
<p>It seeks reflection and awareness about diseases and their impact on families and society</p>
September 21 marks World Alzheimer's Day. The Association of Alzheimer's in the Marina Baixa has programmed a series of activities to be developed during Alzheimer's Week.
The councilwoman Ángela Llorca has stressed that the motto chosen for this edition by the Spanish Alzheimer's Confederation is “# Evolution”, a concept with which one wants to achieve “reflection and, especially, awareness of dementias in general and with the Alzheimer's in particular, because of the consequences it has on people and society. ”
Alzheimer's Week will begin on Monday, September 16 at the Children's Traffic Park of Benidorm, at 11:30 am, with a partnership of associations. On Tuesday 17, there will be an excursion to Cullera-Gandía, with the collaboration of the Diputación de Alicante. On Wednesday 18, a talk between the head of the neurology service of the Benidorm Clinical Hospital, Dr. Hernández Martínez, and the AFA Marina Baixa Psychologist, Beatriz Albaladejo on "Prevention as a way of life, stimulates your brain."
On Thursday, the 19th, a Mass will be held in Parish of Our Lady of La Almudena and on Friday the 20th, information and petition tables will be installed in the streets Alameda (La Palmera) and Tomás Ortuño and Plaza de SS. MM los Reyes de España (City Hall) where a manifesto will be read at noon.
As the proposal is regional, there will be tables that Thursday at the Regional Hospital, in Villajoyosa, and in Altea
On the 21st in the Assembly Hall of the City of Benidorm, the performance of the Poniente Choir and a music therapy session will take place, with the director of the School of Music, Roberto Carballo. The donation ticket is 3 euros.
