A total of 239 2nd year Baccalaureate students from Benidorm will face the Selectivity tests starting tomorrow, Tuesday, June 4, which will be held in the neighbouring town of La Nucía. According to the data provided by the Department of Education, headed by Maite Moreno, "200 students of those who take the EBAU study at the five secondary schools in Benidorm, while the remaining 39 come from the private centre."

The Councilor for Education recalled that "to facilitate the movement of students to La Nucía, as on previous occasions, the Department of Education has arranged a free bus service that, upon registration, can be used by students who wish to do so." This service has one round trip and two return trips, as well as two routes: Levante and Poniente, each with six stops.

According to the registration data with which the Consistory works, the number of young people who have requested to use it is around 60, Maite Moreno added.

Depending on the route, the buses will leave from the first stop between 07:35 and 07:45 and will arrive in La Nucía around 08:20, 40 minutes before the first Selection tests begin. To return to Benidorm, departures are planned from the IES in La Nucía at 5:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Moreno wished all the students who from tomorrow until Thursday take the Selectivity exams "the best of luck in these tests, with which they complete a formative stage in our city and begin the path towards university education."

‘Sessió Contínua’

On the other hand, and coinciding with the preparation of these exams and those of the university, the Councilor for Education also recalled that since last May 20, Benidorm students have had a space in the José Llorca Linares Social Center in which being able to study in a wide schedule. Specifically, from Monday to Friday the hours offered are from ten at night – when the ordinary activity of the social centre ends – until 1 in the morning, while on Saturdays and Sundays, the service is active from 10 am. to 1 am.

Moreno recalled that "based on the different exam calls, the 'Sessió Contínua' program has two periods: the first will extend until June 14 and the second, from June 25 to July 12."
