Today, Saturday, the poster for the pilgrimage will be unveiled and David Carrasco will deliver the opening speech. On Sunday, there will be a signing of the Book of Rules, the pilgrimage itself, and a day of fellowship
Rocío Brotherhood will have around thirty members in 2026
The ceremony, in which some thirty new members were inducted and received their commemorative medals, was attended by the Councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, and other members of the City Council. The new members received the support of the board of directors and the entire Benidorm brotherhood, presided over by Jesús Malumbres.
The event, which was preceded by a Mass, culminated with the reading of the Youth Proclamation by Manuel Ponce Sances, the brotherhood's official drummer, who always accompanies it at its public events with his drum and flamenco flute. The two instruments featured prominently in the proclamation, which, accompanied by music, explored the feelings and connection to the Camino and included some very moving moments with his sponsors in the brotherhood.
This Saturday, at 6:30 p.m., the poster for the 2026 Pilgrimage will be unveiled in the Town Hall's Assembly Hall, followed by the Rocío proclamation delivered by David Carrasco Camacho, a musician from Huelva and a Rocío devotee. On Sunday, the Church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna will host the Mass of the Rocío Brotherhood, after which the signing of the Book of Rules will take place, along with the traditional pilgrimage, which will conclude at the Parish of La Almudena with a day of fellowship.
