The Mayor Toni Pérez has toured the road with the councilman of Works and Urban Scene, José Ramón González de Zárate, and technicians from the municipal area of Engineering and the winning company, in order to finalize the preparations for the start of the works.
The works will consist fundamentally in the integral renewal of the entire potable water supply network, as well as in the replacement of the curb and sidewalk to provide it with an integral accessibility since it will be equipped with a non-slip floor. The works will be used to pre-install a pipeline in anticipation of providing the area with new services such as fiber optic, without having to reopen ditches in the street. In principle, the deadline for these works is three weeks.
José Ramón González de Zárate stressed that the need to carry out these works was becoming increasingly essential as a result of the pedestrianization of Tomás Ortuño Street, which has meant an increase in the volume of traffic that supports Antonio Ramos Street. Carratalá.
These works are part of the Plan for Maintenance, Conservation and Renovation of the Urban Scene that the City Council is carrying out in phases and that extends throughout the municipality.
