The remodeling of Ametlla del Mar will mean specific changes in traffic on the final stretch of Gerona street

The refurbishment works of Ametlla del Mar are going to involve specific changes in traffic on the final stretch of Gerona Street, the closest to the avenue under construction. Thus, as of Friday, April 5 and for approximately two weeks, Gerona Street will not be accessible from Ametlla del Mar Avenue, as this turn will be canceled due to the work itself. Residents who need access to their fords or garages located in this section of Gerona Street should do so through the avenue Derramador.

Meanwhile, work continues on Juan Fuster Zaragoza Avenue, where the construction of a rainwater collector is completed, which will prevent water accumulation problems when intensity rains occur. It is expected that next Monday the traffic in Juan Fuster Zaragoza will be restored as normal.

The remodeling of the avenue contemplates an integral redevelopment in the stretch between Mediterráneo and Juan Fuster Zaragoza, although the improvements obtained by the City Council will allow the construction of a rainwater collector in this last road, and extend the performance of the urban scene to Zamora street.

The remodeling includes the change of paving, signage and lighting; the expansion of sidewalks; and the implementation of trees, etc., and special emphasis will be placed on the renewal of water infrastructure and the improvement of the rainwater network. It also includes the creation of a bike lane in the center of the road, similar to that of Jaime I Avenue.
