The event took place in the Assembly Hall of Benidorm City Hall and was led by members of the ‘la Serp’ club
The play ‘Nelo Bacora’ was very well received as it raised funds for the Anemone challenge #RemandoaBelen
The Marina Baixa Women's Self-Help Group for Breast and Gynaecological Cancer (Anémona) and "La Serp" club presented the play "Nelo Bacora" this afternoon. The performance took place in Benidorm City Hall's Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m., with Mayor Toni Pérez in attendance, accompanied by the president of Anémona, María Botella, as well as numerous members of the local council, Senator Gerardo Camps, and a full and enthusiastic audience.
The purpose of this theatrical performance is to allocate all donations from attendees—ten euros per person—to the total kilometres accumulated towards completing the #Remandoa Belen challenge. A surprise came from King Melchior, who appeared in the Assembly Hall before the performance began, went up on stage, and introduced the play to the audience.
Her Majesty emphasised to everyone the importance of the challenges undertaken by Anémona, such as the current #RemandoaBelen campaign, and reminded them that Christmas “is more than a date, it’s a way of life.” With her best wishes for the new year, she addressed the “secretary,” telling him that “the performance may begin.” At the end of the play, which was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience, attendees were offered hot chocolate for five euros.
