Palau d’Esports resumes all sporting activity after the Benidorm Fest
Palau d’Esports L’Illa in Benidorm will resume all sporting activity this afternoon following the Benidorm Fest, which culminated last Saturday with the grand final won by the duo of Tony Grox and Lucycalis. This was announced this afternoon by the Benidorm City Council's Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, after visiting the facilities with the city's mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Palau's deputy director.
The councillor explained that "starting this afternoon, training will resume both in the pavilion and on some of the outdoor courts" of Palau. Tomorrow, Saturday, the facilities will once again host matches for the various sports clubs that play at this municipal venue, which had been temporarily relocated to other spaces due to the event.
Jesús Carrobles also highlighted the speed with which the dismantling of all the infrastructure set up by RTVE for the television broadcast of the galas was carried out, noting that "in less than a week since the final was held, Palau is back in optimal condition for sporting activity."
In addition to the outdoor courts and the pavilion, Palau d’Esports L’Illa also has an indoor swimming pool, gym, and tennis and padel courts, which have maintained normal operations throughout this period, coinciding with the setup, hosting, and dismantling of Benidorm Fest.
